SCE16VUU Reduced Length Shaft Block
The SCE16VUU is a closed bearing block for a 16 mm round shaft. Its shortened aluminum housing is intended for mounting plates where the available space along the shaft is limited.

Product Details
The internal linear bearing passes through the compact housing, with its metal sleeve extending beyond both housing faces. The listed 22.4 mm length therefore describes the aluminum block rather than the complete clearance required around the bearing.
A shaft center height of 19 mm determines the position of the 16 mm shaft above the mounting surface. The housing measures 50 mm across and 38.5 mm high, with M6×12 mounting threads provided for attachment to the moving plate.
End seals help retain lubricant and reduce the entry of loose contamination. External retaining components keep the bearing positioned inside the shortened housing.
Product Description
SCE16VUU should be selected from the machine's mounting envelope, not from shaft diameter alone. The plate must accommodate the 50 mm housing width, the mounting-hole positions and the bearing sleeve projecting from each end.
The unit runs on a supported or end-mounted 16 mm round shaft. It is not a carriage for a profiled linear rail and cannot be installed on an SBR or TBR support rail without the corresponding round-shaft arrangement.
Although SCE16VUU and standard SCE16UU units use the same nominal shaft diameter, their housing lengths and mounting layouts must be compared before replacement. The shorter model is useful when adjacent brackets, pulleys or machine panels restrict space along the shaft.

No. It represents the shortened housing length shown in the dimensional drawing. Additional clearance is required for the bearing sleeve extending from both sides.
Can SCE16VUU replace a standard SCE16UU block directly?
Not necessarily. Confirm the housing length, mounting-hole positions, center height and surrounding clearance before replacing one design with the other.
What type of guide does this block require?
It operates on a 16 mm cylindrical linear shaft. It is not designed for direct installation on a profiled guide rail.
Should the mounting plate be prepared from the model name alone?
No. Use the SCE16VUU dimensional drawing to establish the hole positions and shaft centerline before machining the plate.
