Product Description
The rolling-thread manufacturing process (rather than grinding) is what sets the SFI line apart - it's a faster, lower-cost way to produce the thread profile, and it's suited to applications that don't need ground-screw-level lead accuracy. In practice, that means the SFI screw needs under 30% of the torque a traditional lead screw requires to produce the same linear travel, and it holds its motion characteristics even under preload. Material options include bearing steel, hardened steel, chrome steel, and stainless steel, with lengths cut to the length you specify rather than fixed stock sizes. Models span SFI1604-4 through SFI8010-4, covering diameters and leads for light-duty 3D printing gantries up through heavier CNC and railway automation loads.

 

These are built into CNC machines, 3D printers, engraving and window-fabrication machines, woodworking and chemical processing equipment, semiconductor tooling, robotics, and railway automation - anywhere a rotary motor needs to drive a precise linear stroke.
