TBR-UU/LUU Flange Mount Carriage

Technical Description

The mounting face is the starting point for selecting this TBR block. Four threaded holes are positioned around the supported shaft, giving the machine plate a broad connection area without requiring a separate bearing housing.

 

Below that mounting face, the round shaft passes through an open linear bearing. The opening leaves space for the aluminum support fixed beneath the shaft. This means the block must be checked against the complete TBR rail profile, not against shaft diameter alone.

The published range contains four sizes:

TBR16 for a 16 mm shaft

TBR20 for a 20 mm shaft

TBR25 for a 25 mm shaft

TBR30 for a 30 mm shaft

 

Each size is available with two body lengths. The UU version uses the shorter housing. LUU increases the length and longitudinal hole spacing while retaining the same width, overall height and shaft centre position for that nominal size.

 

This allows an equipment designer to change from UU to LUU without altering the vertical position of the platform. However, the plate hole pattern and required rail length must be updated.

 

Model Selection

Dimension M is the space occupied by the block along the rail. Dimension K is the longitudinal mounting-hole distance, while J defines the transverse hole spacing.

 

For a preliminary rail calculation:

Required rail length = working movement + block length M + end allowance

 

The end allowance depends on the stop arrangement and required safety distance. It should not be removed simply to obtain additional travel.

 

The LUU load ratings are approximately twice those of the matching UU model, but its greater length reduces the remaining movement on an unchanged rail. The decision between the two versions should therefore be made before the rail is cut.

FAQ

What is the main difference between TBR-UU and TBR-LUU?

TBR-LUU has an extended housing and higher published load ratings. It also requires more rail length than the corresponding UU block.

Does the LUU version always replace two standard carriages?

No. Two independently spaced carriages may provide a wider support distance. Selection depends on the machine plate and the position of the applied load.

Can a TBR20 carriage be installed on an SBR20 assembly?

It should not be assumed. The shaft diameter may match, but the rail support, carriage height and mounting interface can be different.

Is the supported rail included with the carriage?

Only when the quotation identifies a complete rail-and-carriage assembly. Otherwise, the carriage and rail should be treated as separate order items.

Can the required rail length and block quantity be specified?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
