TBR16 Open Bearing Travel Assembly
The TBR16 system pairs a 16 mm supported round shaft with an open TBR16UU carriage. Its underside clearance allows the bearing to travel past the aluminum support beneath the shaft.

Product Details
A continuous aluminum rail supports the steel shaft from below. The shaft therefore does not rely solely on two end brackets, while the open section of the bearing passes around the raised support during movement.
The carriage shown on this page is marked TBR16UU. Its bearing opening must remain aligned with the supporting rib throughout installation. A closed linear-bearing block cannot travel along this rail because its lower section would collide with the support.
Product Description
Install the rail against a straight mounting reference before fitting the carriage. The block should enter from an exposed rail end; it should not be forced downward over the round shaft.
When two rails are used beneath one moving plate, secure the reference rail first. Position the second rail by moving the assembled carriage plate along the complete stroke before final tightening. This helps prevent the two bearing paths from opposing each other.
TBR16 identifies the 16 mm system size rather than the finished rail length. The inquiry should separately state the required length, block quantity, mounting-hole arrangement and whether the order includes both rails and carriages.

Why is the bearing open underneath?
The opening provides clearance for the aluminum support located directly below the round shaft.
Can a closed bearing block replace TBR16UU?
No. A closed block does not have the required passage for the rail support.
Does TBR16 specify the rail length?
No. It identifies the 16 mm system. The required rail length must be stated separately.
Should the carriage be pressed onto the shaft from above?
No. Install it from the end of the assembled rail to avoid damaging the bearing retainers or seals.
Can the rail be supplied with a specified hole arrangement?
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
