SBR uses a square slider on a hollow aluminum base to keep weight down; TBR uses a flanged slider with a solid base instead, which is the main reason it carries more load and holds up better under sustained pressure. The through-threaded holes in the TBR slider are the other practical difference - they let it mount either top-down or bottom-up, where an SBR slider only mounts top-down. That flexibility matters more than it sounds like when equipment layout is tight and the mounting orientation isn't a given.
