The SFU2005 belongs to the SFU DIN 69051 Form B series. It combines a 20 mm nominal screw diameter with a 5 mm lead, giving a balanced travel rate for applications that do not require the higher displacement of a 10 mm or 20 mm lead screw.

 

The catalog lists a 36 mm nut body diameter, 58 mm flange dimension and 51 mm nut length. The flange includes mounting holes for attachment to a carriage, while the M6 lubrication port allows grease or oil to be introduced into the ball circulation path.

 

Product Description

During operation, rotation of the screw produces controlled linear movement of the nut. Rolling balls carry the load between the screw and nut raceways, reducing friction compared with a conventional sliding lead screw.

 

The SFU2005 is suitable for CNC feed mechanisms, positioning tables and general automation equipment. Its catalog dynamic load rating is 1130 kgf, with a static load rating of 2380 kgf. These figures describe the ball screw assembly itself; actual service life also depends on applied load, alignment, lubrication, operating speed and installation accuracy.

 

Ball screws are not self-locking. A brake or suitable holding mechanism should be included when this model is installed on a vertical axis. Accuracy grade, screw length and end machining must be specified separately when ordering.

How far does the SFU2005 travel per revolution?

The nut travels 5 mm for each complete revolution of the screw.

Is the SFU2005 interchangeable with the SFU1605 or SFU2505?

No. All three models have a 5 mm lead, but their screw diameters and nut dimensions are different. The mounting space, supports and machined ends must match the selected model.

Can this ball screw be installed vertically?

Yes, but the assembly can be back-driven by an axial load. Vertical equipment should include a brake, counterbalance or another holding device.

Can the screw length and ends be customized?

Screw length and end machining can be produced from the customer's installation drawing.
