Product Description

An SFU assembly transfers motor rotation into movement along the screw axis. It is commonly installed in CNC equipment, engraving machines, woodworking machinery, positioning units and other automated mechanisms.

 

Model selection should begin with the required shaft diameter and lead. Travel length, installation space, working load, mounting arrangement and shaft-end dimensions must then be checked together. A complete drawing is recommended when the screw must fit existing bearing supports, couplings or motor mounts.

 

Material and accuracy requirements should be stated when requesting a quotation. Stainless steel, preload and a particular accuracy grade should not be assumed from the SFU model number alone.

1 What information is needed to select an SFU ball screw

Please provide the required diameter, lead, total screw length, effective travel and shaft-end drawing. Working load, speed and positioning requirements are also useful when confirming the configuration.

2 Can the screw ends be machined for my supports and motor

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.

3 Does every SFU model use the same material and accuracy grade

No. Material, accuracy grade and clearance or preload requirements must be confirmed for the individual order. These properties cannot be determined from the basic SFU number alone.

4 How is the production time confirmed

Production time depends on the selected model, screw length, end machining and order quantity. The confirmed schedule will be provided with the quotation.
