A cold-rolled SFY ball screw that converts motor rotation into linear nut travel through recirculating rolling balls.

Product Details
The SFY assembly consists of a threaded screw shaft, ball nut, rolling balls and an internal return system. Cold rolling forms the shaft raceway, providing an economical option for industrial positioning and transmission applications.
SFY models are available with different screw diameters and leads. Shaft length, end machining, nut design, accuracy requirement and preload must be specified before production. A stepper or servo motor may drive the screw through separately selected supports and a coupling, but the motor is not included unless stated in the quotation.
Product Description
As the screw rotates, loaded balls roll between the shaft and nut before returning through the circulation path. This rolling contact reduces friction compared with a sliding lead screw and converts rotary input into controlled linear movement.
SFY ball screws are suitable for automation equipment, CNC auxiliary axes, handling machinery and positioning systems. The screw requires correct alignment, suitable end supports and regular lubrication. Motor torque and speed must be calculated from the load, lead, acceleration and duty cycle rather than selected from the screw diameter alone.
