SFS Compact Flange Ball Screw
The SFS series combines a compact flanged nut with screw diameters from 12 to 100 mm. Multiple lead and ball-circuit combinations are available for machine axes that need to balance travel speed, load capacity and installation space.

Product Details
SFS is a flanged ball screw series based on the DIN 69051 Form B mounting layout. The catalog covers nominal screw diameters of 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm, with available leads from 5 to 50 mm.
Several diameter and lead combinations are offered with different circulation suffixes, including 1.8, 2.8 and 3.8 versions. These suffixes are part of the complete model number: two SFS nuts with the same nominal diameter and lead may still have different nut lengths, load ratings and rigidity.
Product Description
The SFS range is intended for CNC machinery, automated handling equipment and positioning axes where rotary motion must be converted into repeatable linear travel. Models with a smaller lead provide less travel per revolution, while the larger-lead versions allow an axis to cover more distance at the same screw speed.
Selection should be based on more than diameter and lead. Axial load, acceleration, unsupported screw length, critical speed and mounting arrangement must also be considered. The accuracy class and preload are not identified in the supplied SFS specification sheet and should therefore be stated separately when ordering.
The nut includes a lubrication port. Grease or suitable oil must reach the raceways during operation, and the screw should be protected from chips, dust and other contaminants. This product is a complete ball screw and nut assembly; it should not be confused with a separate bearing or end-support unit.

FAQ
Is this product a lead screw support bearing?
No. Despite the old page name, the supplied drawing identifies it as an SFS ball screw and flanged nut assembly. A separate fixed and supported end unit is still required to mount the screw.
What does an SFS model number represent?
The digits identify the nominal screw diameter and lead. The final suffix identifies the ball-circuit version and must not be omitted when requesting a replacement.
Can models with the same diameter and lead use the same nut?
Not necessarily. Different circuit suffixes can change the nut length, load rating and rigidity. The complete model number and mounting dimensions must be compared.
Can the screw length and end machining be customized?
Yes. The required overall length, bearing journals, threads and coupling end should be shown on the machining drawing.
