Four Bolt Split Shaft Pedestal
An aluminum pedestal with four base holes and a vertically split shaft bore. Two side screws close the upper section around a stationary round shaft.
Description
Mounting Datum
The underside of the base acts as the height reference. Once the support is bolted down, the upright body places the shaft bore at its designed position above that surface.
Four base holes distribute the mounting points around the upright section. The broad foot also provides a stable reference when the support is installed against a machined machine surface.
The narrow cut above the bore is a clamping relief. It allows the bore to contract slightly when the two side screws are tightened; it is not a removable cap or an opening for inserting the shaft from above.
Replacement Notes
Matching the shaft diameter alone is insufficient. A replacement support also needs the same base-to-center height, base width, hole spacing and mounting-hole diameter.
When two supports hold one shaft, both units must use the same center-height dimension. A small height difference between them places the shaft on an incline even when both bases sit flat.
The page does not identify an SHF model or publish a dimensional drawing. For replacement work, use the original support dimensions or submit the machine drawing instead of selecting from appearance.

FAQ
Can the shaft be lowered into the support from above?
Yes. The upper split opens sufficiently for assembly before the side screws are tightened.
Why are there two clamping screws?
They apply clamping force across two positions of the split section and should be tightened alternately.
Is a linear bearing included inside the bore?
No. The bore grips a stationary shaft and contains no ball-bearing assembly.
Can this support be placed inside the bearing travel?
Not when a closed bearing must pass that position. It normally remains outside the working stroke.
Can the bore and mounting pattern follow a drawing?
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
