POS Adjustable Male Link Bearing
A POS rod end can form one end of an adjustable link. Its external thread enters the mating rod or block, and a locknut holds the required bearing-center position.
Description
Product Details
The page lists POS5 through POS28. Each designation combines an eye containing a spherical inner ring with a male threaded shank.
Standard versions use a right-hand thread. Where a linkage requires adjustment from its center section, a right-hand rod end may be paired with a separately specified left-hand version. Rotating the link then moves both bearing centers inward or outward without disconnecting the end pins.
The spherical bore accepts the pivot pin. Movement takes place at this bore, while the threaded shank remains locked inside the linkage body.
Product Description
Set the center-to-center length before tightening the locknut. Enough thread must remain engaged after adjustment; using only the first few threads places unnecessary bending force on the shank.
The eye should face the connected pin naturally when the linkage is at rest. Do not force its angular movement to compensate for an incorrectly positioned mounting bracket.
POS identifies the external-thread form. PHS and other internally threaded rod ends require a different mating connection and should not be substituted from bore size alone.

FAQ
What distinguishes POS from a female rod end?
POS has an external threaded shank. A female rod end contains the thread inside its body.
Why use opposite thread directions on one linkage?
One right-hand and one left-hand end allow the linkage length to change when the center rod is rotated.
Does POS always mean a left-hand thread?
No. The page identifies right-hand thread as standard. Any left-hand version must be stated separately.
Is the locknut supplied with every rod end?
Treat it as a separate component unless the quotation lists it as included.
Can a special linkage end be produced?
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
