Product Details

The threaded stud serves as the bearing axle and mounting fastener. During assembly, the smooth 12 mm seating section enters the machine plate and the stud shoulder rests against the prepared mounting face.

 

A hexagonal recess is provided at the roller end. An Allen key can hold the stud in position while torque is applied to the nut from the opposite side. The outer ring should not be gripped or used as the tightening surface.

 

A transverse hole is visible in the stud seating area. It belongs to the bearing's lubrication arrangement, so the intended relubrication route should be checked before the mounting plate is drilled or the surrounding cover is designed.

 

Product Description

KR30 uses a cage to keep the needle rollers separated inside the bearing. This distinguishes it from the full-complement KRV construction, which fills more of the internal space with rollers but has no cage.

 

The machine plate must support the smooth stud section rather than only the threaded portion. Its mounting face should be flat enough for the stud shoulder to seat completely. A gap beneath the shoulder or an oversized mounting hole increases bending at the stud when the outer ring is loaded.

 

The 30 mm outer ring runs directly on the cam or track. It is intended mainly for radial contact. Continuous side force against the retaining faces indicates that the stud and track are not correctly aligned.

 

KR30 and KR30PP must be ordered by their complete designations. The PP suffix identifies a sealed version; it should not be added or removed solely because two bearings have the same outside diameter.

What is the purpose of the hex socket?

It holds the stud against rotation while the mounting nut is tightened or removed.

Can the outer ring be clamped with pliers during installation?

No. Clamping the running surface can mark it and affect contact with the track. Use the stud's hex socket and the correct nut tool.

Why must the stud shoulder touch the mounting face?

Full shoulder contact shortens the unsupported stud length and helps prevent excessive stud bending.

Is KR30 the same internal design as KRV30?

No. KR uses a caged needle-roller arrangement, while KRV is a full-complement version without a cage.

Is KR30 automatically supplied with seals?

Not necessarily. KR30 and KR30PP are different designations. Confirm the required version before ordering.
