SI SA PHS POS Rod Ends
This page covers four rod-end bearing families for mechanical linkages. SI and PHS have female threads, while SA and POS use male threaded shanks.

Product Details
A rod end consists of a threaded housing and a spherical plain bearing. The ball can tilt inside the housing, allowing a connected rod to move through a limited angle without forcing the linkage out of line.
SI and SA follow one dimensional series; PHS and POS follow another. Parts from different series should not be treated as direct replacements, even when their bore and thread sizes appear to be the same.
Product Description
These bearings are used at the ends of control rods, cylinders, steering links and other joints that need oscillating or tilting movement. They can carry radial loads and limited axial loads, but they are not intended for continuous high-speed rotation.
Before ordering, specify the series, bore diameter, male or female thread, thread direction, material and lubrication arrangement. Carbon steel, chrome steel and stainless steel versions may differ in load rating and corrosion resistance.
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
