HGHP140F Belt Driven Linear Stage
HGHP140F is a timing-belt linear stage developed for long travel and rapid positioning. A single module provides one controlled axis; two units may be mounted at right angles when an XY arrangement is required.

Product Details
The carriage is moved by a synchronous belt running around the drive and return pulleys. The belt is 30 mm wide, and the published lead is 60 mm of carriage travel for one drive revolution.
Available stroke lengths run from 100 mm to 3750 mm. This long working range makes the HGHP140F more suitable for transfer, loading and handling work than for applications requiring the fine feed of a small-lead ball screw.
The stage uses an aluminum base with bearing-steel guidance. Its published positioning accuracy is ±0.08 mm, with a maximum stated horizontal payload of 40 kg. No vertical payload is provided in the original table, so vertical capacity must be selected separately.

One HGHP140F module is a single linear axis. An XY table is created by mounting a second module across the carriage of the lower axis. In this arrangement, the lower stage carries the upper module, payload, tooling and cables together.
Motor selection should be based on the total moving mass, target speed, acceleration and operating cycle. The same motor may not be suitable for both axes because their carried loads are different.
For vertical mounting, belt capacity alone is not enough to confirm suitability. The drive must also prevent the carriage from falling during power loss, normally through an appropriate motor brake or external holding arrangement.
Belt tension and pulley alignment should be checked during installation. Excessive tension increases bearing and pulley load, while insufficient tension can reduce positioning consistency during acceleration and reversal.

Is HGHP140F driven by a ball screw?
No. HGHP140F is driven by a synchronous timing belt.
Does one HGHP140F unit provide XY movement?
No. One unit provides one axis. Two stages must be installed perpendicular to each other to create X and Y travel.
What does the 60 mm lead mean?
It is the nominal carriage movement produced by one revolution of the drive pulley.
Can the stage be installed vertically?
Vertical use requires a separate load check and a method of holding the carriage during power loss. The original parameter table does not provide a vertical payload.
Can the stroke and mounting arrangement be customized?
