The MGW12H carriage measures 40 mm across its mounting face and 60.4 mm along the direction of travel. Four M3 threaded holes connect the carriage directly to the moving plate.

 

Compared with a narrow miniature guide, the wider rail arrangement places the internal running tracks farther apart. This is useful when the attached component produces a rolling moment, such as a fixture extending sideways from the carriage centre.

 

The H suffix identifies the longer carriage configuration. It should not be interpreted as an accuracy or preload grade. Those requirements must be stated separately when ordering.

Rail length must be calculated from the required movement, the 60.4 mm carriage length and the necessary end allowance. Working stroke is therefore shorter than the complete rail length.

 

For a single-rail installation, the payload should remain as close as practical to the carriage centre. A wide rail improves moment resistance, but it does not eliminate the effect of an overhanging load.

 

In parallel-rail assemblies, the first rail establishes the reference line. The second rail should be positioned while the connected plate is moved through the full stroke. Mounting screws must not be used to pull a misaligned rail into position.

 

The carriage should remain on its rail during handling. If removal is necessary, use a suitable transfer rail and avoid disturbing the end seals or internal ball circulation. Mechanical stops should also be provided so the carriage cannot run beyond the rail ends during operation.

What does the H suffix mean in MGW12H?

It identifies the extended carriage version. It does not define the preload or accuracy class.

Does the rail length equal the usable stroke?

No. The carriage occupies part of the rail, and additional space is required at both ends. State the required working stroke when requesting the rail length.

Are two carriages included because two appear in the product image?

Not automatically. The required carriage quantity must be written in the inquiry and confirmed in the quotation.

Can MGW12H be replaced by MGN15H?

No. MGW and MGN use different rail and carriage proportions. Selection must follow the complete model and mounting drawing.

Can the rail length be prepared for a particular machine?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
