The product code must remain complete throughout selection. For example, HGH25CA and HGH25HA belong to the same nominal size, but they are not dimensionally identical. Likewise, an HGH25 block does not fit a rail from the HGH20 or HGH30 size.

 

The block has a square body with threaded mounting points on top. It travels along a fixed profiled rail, allowing the attached machine plate to follow the rail's path. The steel construction is intended for machinery installations rather than unsupported round-shaft arrangements.

Start With the Machine Drawing

For a new installation, the useful starting point is not a general description such as "high precision." The drawing should show the available block space, required rail length, mounting-hole positions and number of supporting carriages. These details determine whether the regular CA body or longer HA body fits the assembly.

 

The listed models are HGH15CA, HGH20CA, HGH20HA, HGH25CA, HGH25HA, HGH30CA, HGH30HA, HGH35CA, HGH35HA, HGH45CA, HGH45HA, HGH55CA, HGH55HA, HGH65CA and HGH65HA.

 

Treat the Rail as a Machine Reference

Before mounting, the contact surface should be checked for raised edges, machining residue and dirt. The rail must sit against the intended reference face without being forced into place by its screws. If the machine uses two rails, incorrect spacing or parallelism can make the table tighten at certain points in its stroke.

 

After fastening the table to the blocks, move it across the complete working distance. The movement should remain even from one end to the other. Lubrication and protection from chips or dust should then be arranged according to the machine environment.

 

For replacement work, copy the complete marking from the original block and compare the mounting dimensions. Selecting from a photograph alone can lead to the wrong carriage length or rail size.
