EGW Block Linear Guide

The working principle is straightforward: balls or rollers recirculate between the rail and the slider block, so the block rides on rolling contact instead of sliding contact. That switch is what cuts motion resistance and extends service life compared to a plain slideway.

 

Linear guides are graded by precision, and the right grade depends on what the equipment actually needs rather than defaulting to the highest one available. General grade (C) covers ordinary industrial equipment; precision grade (P) suits CNC machine tools and measuring equipment; ultra-precision grades (SP/UP) are built for semiconductor equipment and optical instruments where positioning error has to stay in the micron range. EGW rails show up across CNC worktables and tool holders, automation and material-handling lines, coordinate measuring machines and optical platforms, semiconductor wafer transport and lithography equipment, and medical equipment like CT scanners and surgical robots.

Working principle about linear guide: By circulating the balls or rollers between the guide rail and the slider, sliding friction is transformed into rolling friction, thereby significantly reducing motion resistance and improving motion accuracy and lifespan.

 

Linear guides come in different precision grades, and different precision grades of guides are suitable for different equipment.
