A flange that connects directly to the moving plate

The HGW's mounting surface extends across the steel carriage and its two side flanges. This layout spreads the attachment points across the width of the block, giving a machine table or fixture plate a wider connection to the guide.

On the HGW20, the block is 63 mm wide and the mounting-hole centres are 53 mm apart across the flange. Both dimensions matter when designing the plate above it: the width establishes the space occupied by the carriage, while the hole spacing defines the bolted connection.

Inside the body, recirculating balls carry the load between the block and rail raceways. End seals help protect these rolling contacts from dust and retain lubricant. The steel body supports the mounted component; the balls and raceways provide its guided movement.

What changes with the longer HC block

HGW20CC and HGW20HC both have a 30 mm assembly height and a 63 mm width. The HC version extends the block length from 77.5 mm to 92.2 mm. Its basic dynamic load rating rises from 17.75 kN to 21.18 kN, and its basic static load rating rises from 37.84 kN to 48.84 kN.

The longer version therefore provides greater catalog load capacity without increasing assembly height or width. It does occupy more space along the rail, which must be allowed for near the ends of travel.

These are guide load ratings, not machine payload limits. Loads applied away from the carriage centre also create moments; the complete dimension sheet includes moment ratings for checking those arrangements.

Manufacturing Support

Lishui Guangyuan manufactures linear guides at its Lishui facility, with product development, machining and quality inspection handled within the company. Incoming materials are checked before processing, and dimensions are inspected during machining. The inspection lab includes contour-measuring instruments and metallographic microscopes.
