EGW Flange EGH Square Carriages

EGW20CA is the widest block in the group. Its body projects beyond both sides of the rail, placing four threaded holes across two outer mounting flanges. It suits a plate prepared for the wider EGW footprint.

 

EGH15CA keeps all four mounting holes within a narrower rectangular body. EGH15SA is shorter and has only two top holes. Although the two EGH blocks carry the same nominal size number, they do not occupy the same length on the machine plate.

 

All three photographed blocks have a grease fitting at the end. The adjoining machine cover must leave enough room for the grease gun to reach this point after assembly.

 

Product Description

When replacing an installed block, read the engraved marking before loosening the mounting bolts. Then measure the existing hole centers and note which end faces the maintenance side of the machine. These details are more useful than comparing product color or overall appearance.

 

A plate drilled for EGH15SA will not automatically accept EGH15CA because the second pair of mounting holes and the longer body require additional space. Changing from EGH to the wider EGW style usually means preparing a different plate interface.

 

If the old marking is no longer legible, the replacement check should be made from the rail designation, assembled height, block length, body width and bolt pattern. The carriage should remain on its rail until a transfer tool is ready.

Can EGW20CA replace an EGH20 block?

Not as a direct mechanical replacement. The EGW flange body is wider and uses a different mounting footprint. Compare both drawings with the machine plate before changing the block style.

Are EGH15SA and EGH15CA interchangeable?

They run on the corresponding 15-size guide family, but their carriage lengths and mounting-hole layouts differ. The existing plate must be checked before substitution.

What should be provided when the engraved code cannot be read?

Provide photographs and measurements for the rail width, assembled height, carriage length, carriage width and mounting-hole centers.

Can the carriage be removed by hand?

It can be transferred from the rail, but a suitable retaining or transfer rail should be used to keep the internal balls in position.

Can a replacement be supplied in a small quantity?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
