One assembly consists of a profiled rail and a square carriage. The carriage is fixed from above, allowing a machine plate or fixture to sit directly on its upper mounting surface.

The available designations cover nominal sizes 15, 20, 25 and 30. Each size is listed with SA and CA carriage versions. The complete suffix must be included on the order because the two block formats should not be treated as the same component.

Recirculating balls run through hardened raceways inside the carriage. The internal contact arrangement carries forces from the principal directions, while end seals limit the entry of chips and dust around the ball tracks.

Product Description

The low body height is useful when the guide must fit below a restricted cover, spindle center or worktable. Clearance still needs to be reserved for the rail bolts and carriage screws.

Both mounting surfaces should be machined as continuous reference planes. Tightening a carriage onto a twisted plate can make an undamaged guide feel heavy or uneven.

For twin-rail installations, fasten the reference rail first. Position the second rail by moving the table through its full stroke before final tightening. This allows the carriages to settle into one travel line instead of forcing them against each other.

Lubrication and sealing requirements depend on the amount of debris around the guide. Grinding dust, wood particles and cutting residue require more protection than an enclosed positioning mechanism.

Why is EGH described as a low-profile guide?

Can an SA carriage replace a CA carriage directly?

Do not substitute the suffix without checking the corresponding block drawing, mounting length and load data.

Should two parallel rails be tightened at the same time?

Normally, one rail establishes the reference. The second is aligned through table movement before its bolts receive final tightening.

Does the guide include a drive mechanism?

No. The rail controls straight movement. A ball screw, belt, cylinder or another drive component must be installed separately.

Can the rail length and mounting arrangement follow a drawing?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
