Product Details

The assembly uses a cylindrical single nut with a round mounting flange. Its catalog ball diameter is 2.381 mm, and the circulation specification is listed as n3.

 

The nut body measures 35 mm in length, with an 8 mm flange thickness and a 30 mm flange width. An M6 lubrication port is provided on the nut body. The catalog gives a basic dynamic load rating of 592 kgf and a basic static load rating of 1129 kgf.

 

Product Description

SFU1204-3 is intended for smaller linear axes where a 12 mm shaft fits the available structure. The 4 mm lead provides shorter travel per motor revolution than SFU1605 or SFU1610, making it useful for compact feed mechanisms, small CNC equipment, positioning fixtures and light automated machinery.

 

The SFU1204 designation identifies the diameter and lead, but it does not define the accuracy grade, axial clearance or preload. These requirements must be added separately when the assembly is ordered.

 

Total screw length and both shaft ends should be determined from the machine layout. Bearing seats, threads, coupling diameter and shoulder positions must be shown on the machining drawing.

1 Is the correct model SFU1204-3 or SFU1204-4

The specification drawing supplied on this page lists the model as SFU1204-3 with an n3 circulation specification.

2 Does SFU1204 automatically mean C5 accuracy

No. SFU1204 identifies the nominal shaft diameter and lead. Accuracy grade, clearance and preload are separate specifications.

3 Can both ends be machined to fit my supports

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.

4 What dimensions are needed for end machining

Provide the total length, threaded length, bearing-seat diameters, shoulder positions, threads and coupling section. A complete drawing is preferred.

5 Is SFU1204 intended for heavy-load machinery

It is the smallest diameter shown in this SFU catalog. Load and rigidity requirements should be checked against its published ratings before it is selected for a heavily loaded axis.
