Product Details

The number 2505 describes the screw size rather than its overall length: 25 mm nominal diameter and 5 mm advance per turn. The required finished length is determined separately for each machine.

 

A DFU nut contains two working sections held in one assembly. Their relative setting takes up part of the axial clearance between the balls and raceways. When the motor reverses, the axis responds with less idle movement than it would with an unadjusted single nut.

 

This construction also makes the nut longer. Before choosing DFU2505, check the available space around the nut housing, flange and end-of-stroke positions.

 

Product Description

A 5 mm lead is useful when the design favours controlled feed distance over high travel per revolution. At 600 rpm, for example, the theoretical feed rate is 3000 mm per minute; actual machine speed must still be set according to screw length, support method and operating conditions.

 

The finished screw is not selected by stroke alone. Nut length, safety allowance, bearing seats and the coupling section all occupy part of the overall length. These areas should be shown on the machining drawing before production begins.

 

During assembly, secure the end supports and nut housing without pulling the screw sideways. Rotate it manually through the intended travel before connecting the motor. A noticeable tight spot usually indicates mounting error, contamination or incorrect alignment and should be corrected before powered operation.
