Relubricating Stud Type Cam Follower

Product Details

This cam follower uses a threaded stud as its mounting shaft. One end plate is integrated with the stud, while the opposite plate is pressed against a shoulder to retain the roller assembly.

 

The bearing contains needle rollers and a thick-walled outer ring for radial loading. Lubrication passages in the stud allow grease to be supplied after installation. Exact dimensions, sealing arrangement and outer-ring profile depend on the selected model.

 

Product Description

During operation, the outer ring rolls along a cam or track while the needle rollers reduce friction between the outer ring and stud. The threaded section provides compact mounting without requiring a separate axle.

 

Stud-type cam followers are used in cam mechanisms, conveyors, indexing equipment, machine tools and automated handling systems. Correct stud tightening, track alignment and lubrication are necessary. The bearing is intended mainly for radial loading; allowable axial forces depend on the exact design and must not be assumed from the product family alone.
