DB DS Open Side Motor Pedestal

Product Details

The bracket consists of two parallel mounting faces joined by upper and lower members. One face receives the motor, and the opposite face connects to the adjoining drive structure. The open sides expose the space between them, allowing the coupling hubs and clamping screws to be reached after the motor is positioned.

 

DB and DS are different mounting families. DB42, DB57, DB86, DB110 and DB130 correspond to common stepper-motor frame sizes. DS40, DS60, DS80, DS110 and DS130 provide the alternative hole patterns used by corresponding servo motors.

 

The number in the designation does not define every bracket dimension. For example, DB42 and DS40 both use a 40 × 40 mm body face and have a height of 60 mm, but DB42 has a 22 mm opening with a 43.84 mm PCD, while DS40 has a 30 mm opening with a 46 mm PCD.

 

Product Description

A bracket should be selected from the motor drawing rather than from motor power alone. Compare the pilot diameter, mounting-hole circle, shaft position and fastener size with the bracket dimension sheet.

 

Models sharing the same nominal frame size are not necessarily interchangeable. DB110 and DS110 both have a 110 × 110 mm external face, but their center openings are 85 mm and 95 mm respectively. Their listed mounting PCD values also differ.

 

Before final tightening, rotate the coupling by hand and confirm that its clamp screws remain accessible through one of the side openings. The coupling must also clear the upper and lower connecting members throughout rotation.

 

This product is the open-frame bracket body. A coupling, motor, ball screw and fixed-end bearing unit should be treated as separate components unless the quotation states otherwise.

FAQ

Can DS40 replace DB42 because their outside dimensions are similar?

No. Their center openings and motor mounting circles are different. Selection must follow the motor flange drawing.

Are DB110 and DS110 the same bracket?

No. They share a 110 mm external face size, but their center openings and PCD dimensions are not identical.

Can the model be selected from the motor wattage?

Motor power is not enough. Provide the flange size, pilot diameter, bolt-circle dimensions, shaft diameter and shaft extension.

Why are the sides of the bracket left open?

The openings provide access for positioning the coupling, tightening its clamp screws and checking the space around the rotating hubs.

Can a different hole pattern be produced?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
