EGHP175F Heavy Payload Belt Axis
EGHP175F is a long-stroke linear axis that pairs a 50 mm timing belt with two EGR20 guide rails and four EGH20 blocks. The published configuration provides strokes up to 3750 mm for horizontally mounted transfer equipment.
Description
Product Details
The moving platform is guided by four EGH20 blocks distributed across two parallel EGR20 rails. This arrangement gives the carriage a wider supporting footprint than a single-rail mechanism, which is useful when transporting large fixtures or payloads whose center is offset from the drive line.
A 50 mm toothed belt transfers motion between the drive pulley and carriage. The published drive lead is 80 mm, allowing substantial carriage movement for each motor revolution. This configuration favors long travel and rapid relocation rather than the fine mechanical feed associated with a small-lead ball screw.
Available effective strokes extend from 100 mm to 3750 mm. The listed repeat positioning accuracy is ±0.08 mm, and the maximum published handling weight is 85 kg for horizontal installation.
Product Description
The 85 kg figure should not be treated as an unrestricted operating load. Acceleration, stopping distance, operating frequency and payload height all influence the force placed on the belt, guide blocks and motor. A tall or overhanging fixture can create a larger moment load even when its weight remains below the stated limit.
For long-stroke installations, the axis should be supported by a straight and sufficiently rigid machine frame. Mounting the extrusion across an uneven surface can distort the guide alignment and increase resistance as the carriage travels from one end to the other.
The motor end and belt-tensioning end should remain accessible after assembly. This allows pulley alignment, belt condition and tension to be inspected without removing the complete axis from the machine.
The original specifications identify horizontal installation only. Vertical or inclined operation requires a separate load calculation and a method of preventing uncontrolled movement if drive power is lost.

FAQ
Does the published 80 mm value describe a ball screw pitch?
No. EGHP175F is belt driven. The original table uses the label "screw pitch," but the value should be treated as the published drive lead for the pulley-and-belt system.
Can the axis carry 85 kg at maximum speed?
Not automatically. The motor, acceleration, duty cycle, payload position and required stopping distance must be checked before confirming the operating speed.
Why does this model use four guide blocks?
Four blocks distributed across two rails provide a broad supporting pattern for the carriage and help it resist loads created by large or offset fixtures.
Can the 3750 mm version be installed on two end supports?
A long axis normally requires a rigid mounting surface along its body. Insufficient support can allow the extrusion to bend and disturb guide alignment.
Can the stroke or motor connection be customized?
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
