EGH Low Profile Guide
Some equipment simply doesn't have room for a tall guide assembly — a compact machine housing, a stacked multi-axis stage, a printer carriage squeezed between other components. EGH's square, low-profile carriage was built for exactly that constraint, pairing with a matching EGR rail sized to fit where a taller guide block wouldn't.

Mechanical Layout
The carriage runs on a matching EGR profiled rail, with steel balls circulating through raceways cut into both surfaces. That recirculation is what lets the carriage keep moving indefinitely along the rail rather than being limited to a single pass - balls exit the loaded zone at one end of the carriage, travel back through an internal return channel, and rejoin the raceway at the other end.
Sizing and Configuration
Four nominal sizes cover this line - 15, 20, 25, and 30 - each available in SA and CA block styles. Every size pairs specifically with its matching EGR rail; mixing a block from one size with a rail from another isn't something this design supports. Preload class, accuracy grade, and rail length are set per order, since a single carriage size still spans a fairly wide range of load and precision requirements depending on how it's configured.
Day-to-Day Performance
A well-lubricated raceway and a properly aligned mounting surface are what keep this carriage running smoothly over its rated cycle life - those two conditions matter more to long-term performance than almost anything else about the installation. It shows up in equipment where mounting height is constrained: compact automation cells, multi-axis stacked stages, printer and scanner carriages, and instrumentation where the guide has to fit inside an already-tight housing.

A: Bearing steel.
Q: Does the rail rust easily?
A: Not easily - the surface is greased before shipping.
Q: What if the slider feels stiff after transport?
A: The balls inside can shift slightly during shipping. Tapping gently around the slider usually frees it up and restores smooth movement.
Q: What's your lead time?
