EGH Low Height Rail Carriages

The EGH range covers sizes 15, 20, 25 and 30. Within each size, SA identifies the standard-length block and CA identifies the longer body. These codes describe different mounting envelopes and must appear on the equipment drawing.

 

The carriage contains circulating steel balls and end components that guide them back into the loaded tracks. It should remain on its EGR rail or on a retaining insert whenever it is removed from the machine.

 

A rail, carriage and mounting plate form one installed height. Using a lower EGH assembly changes the final table position and may also change its relationship with the ball screw, coupling and motor.

 

Product Description

Replacing a taller guideway with EGH is not a direct block exchange. Lowering the table without moving the drive line can place the ball screw nut or belt connection above its intended center, producing a constant pulling or bending force during travel.

 

The mounting holes also require checking. A block with the same nominal rail size may use a different bolt pattern, shoulder position or carriage length. Existing holes should not be reused until the EGH drawing has been compared with the machine plate.

 

SA and CA blocks affect the available space at the rail ends. A CA carriage occupies a longer section of rail and may contact a stop, cover or lubrication fitting earlier than an SA version.

 

For a retrofit inquiry, provide the current table height, mounting-hole layout, required stroke and drive centerline together with the selected EGH and EGR size.

FAQ

What is the practical difference between SA and CA?

SA is the shorter carriage body. CA occupies more length along the rail and requires a different mounting footprint.

Does a longer carriage reduce the available stroke?

It can when the rail length remains unchanged. The carriage body and end clearance must be included when calculating usable travel.

Can an EGH block run on any rail with the same size number?

No. It must be matched to the corresponding EGR rail series and checked against the complete specification.

Is the rail supplied automatically with the block?

No. State whether the order requires individual blocks, individual rails or complete guideway sets.

Can rail length and carriage quantity follow a machine drawing?

We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
