Compact SCV Linear Bearing Block

Product Details

The SCV block places a sealed linear ball bearing inside a compact aluminum housing. Its body is shorter than a standard SC UU unit, so it fits more easily beside end plates, motor mounts, or other parts that leave little room along the shaft.

Models are available for shaft diameters from 8 mm through 60 mm. The internal bearing has seals at both ends, identified by the UU suffix. These seals help hold grease inside and keep ordinary workshop dust away from the ball tracks.

Product Description

During travel, the balls circulate through the bearing while the housing moves along the round shaft. The flat housing can be bolted directly to a moving plate, making the unit useful in small machines, printers, positioning fixtures, and light automation.

The shorter body is convenient, but it also gives the bearing less support length than a standard or long SC block. For loads that create a strong overturning moment, two blocks or a longer bearing unit may be the better choice.

Choose the model by shaft diameter first, then check the housing dimensions and mounting-hole positions. The shaft also needs the correct hardness, finish, and straightness. Tightening the block onto a poorly aligned pair of shafts will make it bind rather than correct the alignment.
