FF is the supporting-side member of the FK/FF family. A radial bearing inside the housing carries the machined shaft journal, while a retaining ring secures the supported-end assembly. Axial positioning of the screw is handled at the opposite FK fixed end.

 

The original page incorrectly applies fixed-side instructions to the FF product, including a two-bearing support and locknut. Those details belong to FK and must not be used to describe FF.

 

Unlike the base-mounted EF support from the previous page, FF uses a flange-style housing. This allows the unit to be installed against an end plate or recessed mounting face. Selection therefore depends on both the supported shaft journal and the flange dimensions.

 

Product Description

The published FF range includes FF6, FF10, FF12, FF15, FF17, FF20, FF25 and FF30. Although FK8 appears in the original combined model list, FF8 is not listed on this page, so it should not be added without separate product data.

 

For installation, first establish the ball screw position from the FK fixed side. The FF housing can then be placed over the opposite journal and aligned with the shaft before its mounting screws are fully tightened. The housing should meet the mounting face naturally rather than being used to pull the screw into alignment.

 

The supported-end drawing needs to show the bearing journal, shoulder, retaining-ring groove and distance from the threaded section. The flange outside diameter, mounting-hole pattern and centre position must also agree with the machine plate.

 

The bearing is supplied lubricated and protected by its sealing arrangement. The support unit should remain assembled during normal installation. Contamination should be kept away from the bearing and screw-end journal.

A: No. FF is the supported or floating side. FK is the fixed side.
