FK FF Flange Support Units

Product Details

The FK unit is installed at the driven end of the ball screw. Its angular contact bearing arrangement locates the screw axially and supports thrust generated during forward and reverse movement. The FF unit supports the opposite end while allowing the screw to respond to small changes in length during operation.

 

Product Description

FK and FF units use flange housings, making them suitable where a face-mounted support is easier to install than a pedestal-style BK and BF set. They are commonly used in linear stages, CNC mechanisms and automated positioning equipment.

 

The FK and FF numbers must correspond to the machined dimensions of the ball screw ends. Selection should be based on the bearing bore, shaft shoulder, locknut thread, mounting holes and housing dimensions-not on the nominal screw diameter alone. The fixed and supported units must also be mounted on the same centerline.
