Grease Port Stud Track Roller
This track roller combines its mounting stud, rolling element and clamping thread in one unit. A lubrication passage opens at the end of the stud so grease can be renewed after installation
Description
Product Details
Unlike a bearing enclosed inside a housing, this component runs with its outer ring exposed. The condition of the mating track therefore affects the bearing directly. Raised joints, machining steps or local dents produce an impact every time the roller passes over them.
The mounting journal begins immediately behind the roller. Keeping this journal fully supported reduces the unsupported distance between the track load and the machine plate. Adding washers or spacers behind the shoulder increases that distance and raises bending stress in the stud.
The contact mark across the outer ring provides useful installation evidence. A track running square to the stud should leave a reasonably centered band. A polished strip concentrated near one edge points to angular error, track deflection or incorrect plate alignment.
Product Description
The track width should keep the running contact inside the usable outer-ring surface throughout the mechanism's movement. At curves and transitions, the roller must not climb onto an edge or strike the track sideways.
Check the cam profile for abrupt changes before increasing operating speed. A roller may carry the static machine load correctly but still experience damaging impact when it enters a sharp rise, crosses a gap or reverses against a hard stop.
After commissioning, inspect both the track and roller together. Replacing only the bearing will not correct recurring damage if the same raised joint, edge contact or alignment error remains on the machine.

FAQ
What is the hole in the end of the stud?
It is the access point for the internal relubrication passage.
Can the threaded stud be used without its shoulder contacting the plate?
No. The shoulder should seat against the mounting face so that the stud is properly supported.
Should the nut be tightened by holding the outer ring?
No. Use the stud's intended holding feature. Gripping the running surface may damage the track-contact area.
Can the roller carry continuous side force?
It is primarily intended for radial loading. Persistent side force may indicate track misalignment or an unsuitable installation.
Does the page identify a specific KR or KRV model?
No confirmed model number is provided. Select from the complete dimensional drawing rather than assigning a series from appearance alone.
