Products Details
Despite the current page name, this is a GFC jaw coupling rather than a flexible beam coupling. Its construction consists of two aluminium hubs with an elastomer spider fitted between their interlocking jaws.
The spider separates the metal hubs, cushions minor shock loads and provides electrical isolation between the connected shafts. The coupling operates without lubrication.
Product Description
GFC couplings are used between motors and driven components such as ball screws, pumps and positioning mechanisms. They can accommodate limited angular, parallel and axial misalignment, but they should not be used to correct a poorly aligned installation.
The polyurethane spider is a wearing component and should be inspected if backlash, vibration or operating noise increases. Before ordering, confirm the outside diameter, overall length, bore sizes, fastening method, torque, speed and shaft alignment. Both bores may be machined to suit the connected shafts within the dimensional limits of the selected model.
We build to customer drawings under OEM/ODM, and accept orders as small as a single piece for standard sizes.
