The SFS list does not describe one universal assembly. A customer ordering SFS01605-3.8 and another ordering SFS05050-1.8 are buying products with very different shaft dimensions and travel characteristics. Keeping them under one page is useful only when the individual model code remains visible.

 

Diameter and lead are embedded in the numerical part of the reference. On SFS03220-2.8, the screw is identified as 32 mm in nominal diameter with a 20 mm lead. The nut suffix remains part of the model and cannot be dropped simply because another SFS03220 version looks similar.

 

The available combinations are uneven. A 16 mm diameter has four listed lead choices, while the 100 mm diameter appears only with a 20 mm lead. The table below shows the actual catalogue coverage without inventing combinations that the original page does not list.

 

Product Description

Suppose a machine requires 20 mm of theoretical movement from one screw revolution. The catalogue offers that lead with 16, 20, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm nominal diameters, but not every option uses the same suffix. The correct diameter still depends on the machine's working length and axial demand, so lead alone cannot determine the final model.

 

The page name also does not establish a precision grade. A buyer who needs a particular positioning tolerance should add that requirement to the inquiry instead of assuming every SFS model has the same accuracy. Preload or permissible axial play should be handled in the same way.

 

Once the model is chosen, the production drawing must define the shaft rather than repeat the catalogue name. Total length, thread length, bearing journals, shoulders, locking thread and coupling diameter all need dimensions. The machine's separate guide structure must support the moving table and keep the nut aligned with the shaft.
