EGWP95F Belt Driven Stage
A belt-driven linear stage — motor turns a toothed pulley, the synchronous belt pulls the slide block along a guide rail — built for higher speed and longer travel than a ball screw stage covers.
Description
A motor drives the pulley, the synchronous belt carries the slide block along the guide rails, and reversing the motor's direction reverses the slide's travel - speed and direction are both just a function of motor control, nothing more mechanically complex than that.
That simplicity is what gives belt drive its main advantages over a ball screw: top speed runs 2–5 m/s, well above what a screw drive can sustain, and stroke length can exceed 5 meters, making it the better choice for long-distance conveyance rather than short-stroke precision positioning. The synchronous belt also runs quieter than a screw-driven system, the mechanism itself is simpler and cheaper to build, and belt replacement is a straightforward maintenance task rather than a full teardown.
The tradeoff worth knowing: belt drive trades some of the ball screw's positioning precision for speed and range, so it's the right call when the application needs to move fast over a long distance, not when it needs to land on a position within microns.
We build to customer drawings or samples under OEM/ODM, with a free sample available for quality testing. Packaging is neutral boxes or wooden crates depending on order size.
