Product Details

The EGH15CA carriage has a narrow rectangular body without the side flanges found on an EGW block. The moving plate is attached directly to the four threaded holes on top of the carriage.

 

Inside the block, steel balls circulate through the loaded raceways and return passages in the end caps. End seals cover the entry points where the rail passes through the carriage, while the visible grease fitting provides access for replenishing lubricant.

 

The rail has counterbored fixing holes so that its mounting screws can sit below the running surface. Rail width, raceway profile and carriage geometry form a matched system; the block is not intended for installation on an arbitrary rail of similar width.

 

Product Description

The EGH15CA format is useful where the machine layout requires a compact mounting width but still needs a profiled guide rather than a supported round shaft. Typical installations include small positioning tables, inspection fixtures, assembly equipment and enclosed machine axes.

 

When preparing a replacement, record the marking from the metal top plate before removing the old carriage. The code visible in the page photographs is EGH15CA. Preload and accuracy requirements must be confirmed separately because they cannot be identified reliably from the external body shape.

 

The rail mounting shoulder should be cleaned before installation. Burrs around the screw holes or debris beneath one end of the rail can alter its position even when all bolts appear fully tightened.

 

If the carriage must be removed from the rail, use a transfer rail or another suitable retaining method. Sliding it off without support can disturb the internal balls and seals. After reassembly, move the block along the full rail length by hand before attaching the drive mechanism.

 

For parallel-rail installations, the carriage plate should be used to align the second guide. Tightening both rails independently from their nominal dimensions can leave the carriages working against each other.

Yes, but the complete EGH15CA designation and the specification of the existing rail must be provided. A similar-looking rail does not confirm compatibility.

Why should the block marking be recorded before removal?

Once the carriage is separated from the machine, size and external appearance may be confused with related models. The original marking provides a more reliable replacement reference.

Can the carriage be slid directly off the rail?
