Product Details

FK6 belongs at the driven end. Its circular housing enters the prepared opening in the end plate, while the flange establishes the mounting face. The separate threaded locknut shown in the product image secures the corresponding machined section of the screw.

 

FF6 is used at the far end. It holds the support journal near the intended rotation axis but leaves axial positioning to the FK6 assembly. The two units therefore share the same nominal size without being identical internally.

 

This flange arrangement is useful when the support must fit into the end of a compact slide or positioning mechanism. Space is required behind the FK6 plate for the screw extension, coupling and motor connection.

 

Product Description

Machine the two end plates from the support-unit drawings rather than measuring only the outer flange. The locating diameter, mounting-hole positions and available rear clearance all affect whether the units can seat correctly.

 

During assembly, complete the FK6 side first and establish the screw position with its shoulder and locknut. Bring the FF6 end plate into alignment afterward. If the screw becomes harder to turn only after the FF6 fasteners are tightened, loosen that plate and check its locating bore and center position.

 

FK6 and FF6 should be ordered as separate models even when they are required as one pair. Confirm whether the quotation includes both units, the locknut and any retaining hardware shown in the selected configuration.

Are FK6 and FF6 the same component?

No. FK6 establishes the fixed end of the screw, while FF6 carries the opposite support journal.

Why use a flange support instead of a pedestal unit?

The flange can be located directly in a machine end plate, which suits assemblies without a suitable horizontal surface for a pedestal housing.

Does the number 6 provide every required machining dimension?

No. It identifies the support size. The complete FK6 and FF6 drawings are still required for the shaft ends and mounting plates.

Where is the coupling installed?

The coupling is installed beyond the FK6 fixed end, between the ball screw extension and the motor shaft.

Can the two units be supplied with machined screw ends?

Yes. Both shaft-end profiles must be shown separately on the approved drawing.
