The POS series combines an externally threaded rod body with a spherical plain bearing. It provides a compact connection point for linkages that must transmit load while accommodating limited angular misalignment or oscillating movement.

Product Details
A POS rod end contains a spherical inner ring running against a bronze-lined outer race. The spherical contact allows the connected parts to pivot when their centerlines are not perfectly aligned. This movement is intended for low-speed oscillation rather than continuous high-speed rotation.
The externally threaded shank distinguishes the POS series from internally threaded rod ends. Its carbon-steel body has a white zinc-plated surface, while the bearing inner ring uses a hard chrome-plated contact surface. A lubrication passage allows grease to reach the sliding interface.
Product Description
POS rod ends are used in mechanical linkages, control arms, cylinders and adjustment mechanisms. They primarily carry radial load and can accommodate a limited axial component, but they should not be selected as thrust bearings.
Fit the threaded shank into a matching female thread and secure the adjustment after setting the required linkage length. The bearing should move within its permitted articulation range without forcing the rod end against surrounding components. Lubrication condition, thread engagement and bearing clearance should be checked during routine maintenance.

FAQ
1. Is the POS series internally or externally threaded?
POS rod ends have an external male thread. An internally threaded series should be selected where the linkage requires a female-threaded rod body.
2. Is this a rolling ball bearing?
No. It is a spherical plain bearing. Its inner ring slides against the lined outer race and does not use recirculating balls.
3. Does the bearing require lubrication?
This version uses a bronze sliding interface and provides a lubrication passage. Lubrication should be maintained according to the operating load, motion frequency and working environment.
4. Can it be used for continuous high-speed rotation?
It is intended for linkage articulation and low-speed oscillating movement. It should not be treated as a conventional high-speed rotary bearing.
5. What should be checked before ordering?
Confirm the POS model, bore size, external thread, thread direction, required load and available articulation angle.
6. Are drawing-based products available?
