The carton is almost full, with the round metal parts sitting face-up in separate plastic bags. The center holes have already been machined, and narrow slots can be seen across the silver faces. From this angle, the outside shape looks much the same on every piece.
These parts are being prepared for a sea shipment to Vietnam.
Our Shaft Coupling range includes clamp-type connections used between motors and driven shafts. On a machine with a motor-driven feed screw, the coupling has to fit both shaft ends. Sometimes the motor shaft and screw end are different diameters, which means the two bores cannot simply be made alike.
The small dimensions are often the ones that cause trouble during installation. A coupling may fit inside the available space, yet the bore could be slightly wrong for the motor shaft. There is also the fastening arrangement to consider. Before machining a special size, we prefer to work from the customer's drawing or an existing sample.
Vietnam has become a busy manufacturing market, particularly around Bac Ninh and Hai Phong in the north. Electronics assembly, component production and supporting machinery are concentrated in these areas. Alongside new production lines, there is plenty of work involved in keeping older machines running.
That is where replacement Shaft Coupling parts come into the picture. A workshop may only need a few pieces to repair a feeding mechanism, a small conveyor drive or a positioning unit. The original machine might have come from another country years earlier, and the replacement dimensions are not always listed clearly in the manual.
For this type of order, a photograph of the old part helps, but measurements are still needed. We usually ask for the shaft diameters, overall space available and the way the connection is secured. OEM and ODM machining can also be arranged from confirmed drawings.
The individual plastic bags in this carton keep the machined faces apart while the pieces are handled. Before the sea shipment, the carton will be secured inside the outer packaging.
There is nothing unusual about the box itself. The important work happened earlier, when the bores and the shaft connections were being worked out.
