SHF35 is marked on the flat side of the aluminum support in the photo. It is a holder for a 35 mm round shaft. The shaft stays in place while the linear bearing travels along it. The holder itself has no moving bearing parts.
That distinction matters when an older machine needs repairing. A loose shaft can make a sliding mechanism feel rough, and the bearing often gets blamed first. But changing the bearing will not solve much if the shaft is moving inside its support.
The SHF35 Shaft Support has a flange body, two mounting holes and a split clamping section. The flange is fixed to the machine frame, then the shaft is secured by tightening the clamp screw. It is a fairly simple arrangement, although getting two supports lined up correctly can take some care.
We are preparing SHF35 supports for shipment to Mexico. In the Bajío region, particularly around Querétaro and Guanajuato, automotive parts factories use plenty of assembly fixtures, inspection equipment and automated handling systems. Round shafts and linear bearings are still found in many of these machines, especially where the movement is relatively straightforward.
For maintenance workshops, the difficult part is sometimes finding a replacement that fits the mounting plate already on the machine. A support with the right 35 mm bore can still cause trouble if its bolt holes or body height are different. Nobody wants to drill a new plate just to replace one holder.
This is why we ask customers to check the mounting dimensions when ordering an SHF35 Shaft Support. If the original part has been modified, a drawing or sample is more useful than the model number alone.
The aluminum body is light enough to handle easily, but the mounting faces and clamping area still need protection during transport. These supports are small compared with the shafts they hold. Even so, a damaged bore or mounting face can turn a quick replacement job into an afternoon of fitting and adjustment.
The Mexico order will travel by sea. For replacement parts, we would rather settle the dimensions before packing than have someone discover a mismatch beside a stopped machine.
