SBR Linear Rails And Bearing Blocks Shipped To Spain

Jun 11, 2026

Another order bound for Spain left our warehouse this week - a batch of SBR supported round rails paired with matching bearing blocks, packed into a reinforced wooden crate and strapped down for air freight.

The rails in this shipment are cut to 810mm per piece, with the total length across the order coming to 4 meters. That is a fairly typical custom length for equipment builders who are working to a fixed machine footprint rather than cutting down standard stock themselves. We also supply these rails in 6-meter lengths for customers who need longer travel distances or prefer to cut to size on their end. Beyond those two options, length is something we handle on a per-order basis - if a project calls for something specific, that is not a difficult request to accommodate.

The SBR system is one of those setups that shows up across a wide range of machinery. The round shaft sits elevated on an aluminum support rail, which keeps it off the mounting surface and gives the whole assembly enough rigidity to handle real working loads. The bearing block rides along the shaft on recirculating balls, keeping friction low and movement consistent across the full stroke. Compared to profiled linear guides, it is a simpler and more forgiving installation - the support rail compensates for minor surface irregularities on the machine frame, which saves time during assembly and alignment.

SBR40 is on the heavier end of the range. At 40mm shaft diameter it handles substantial loads without deflecting under pressure, which makes it a practical choice for woodworking machines, plasma cutting tables, larger 3D printing frames, and similar equipment where spans between supports tend to be longer and carriage weight is not trivial. The aluminum bearing block housing keeps the moving mass down compared to cast iron alternatives - on axes that start and stop frequently, lower inertia means the motor works less hard on every cycle and mechanical wear on the drive side is reduced over time.

Even going by air, the crating was not skipped. Everything went into a wooden crate with metal corner reinforcement and steel strapping. Rail surfaces scratch easily if pieces shift during handling, and that holds true whether the journey is measured in days or hours. The customer needed the parts quickly, which is why air freight was the call on this one despite the weight.

Spain continues to be a consistent market for supported rail systems, particularly among small and mid-size machinery builders who need a cost-effective linear motion solution that is straightforward to source and install.

Enquiries for SBR rails and bearing blocks - in standard, 4-meter, 6-meter, or custom lengths - are welcome.
