Linear slide is an important part of machine tools, bending machines, laser welding machines, CNC machine tools, etc. It is a device that can carry objects with a certain weight and perform sliding motion. It is usually suitable for machinery that requires high precision. It can be said that if the linear slide is not installed properly, the whole machine cannot operate, which is enough to see the importance of the linear slide. So if you don't understand the installation of linear slide rails, let's take a look at the correct installation steps of linear slide rails!
Linear slide
Step 1. Before installation, the burrs, dirt and surface scars on the mechanical installation surface must be removed.
Note: The base surface of the slide rail is coated with anti-rust oil before installation. Before installation, please use cleaning oil to clean the base surface before installation. After the anti-rust oil is removed, the base surface is easy to rust. It is recommended to spray the spindle with low viscosity Use lubricating oil.
Step 2: Gently place the main rail on the bed, and use lateral fixing screws or other fixing tools to lightly fit the linear rail to the lateral mounting surface.
Note: Before installation and use, confirm whether the screw holes are aligned, and the platform screw holes are corrected and forcibly locked, which is easy to cause deviation and greatly affect the combination accuracy and quality of use.
Step 3. Slightly tighten the slide rail positioning screws from the center to both sides. Make the rail fit the mounting surface slightly, and then start from the middle section of the slide rail and tighten slightly to both ends to obtain stable accuracy. After the datum surface of the slide rail is slightly tightened, strengthen the pressing force of the lateral datum surface of the slide rail, so that the main rail can indeed fit the lateral datum surface.
Step 4. Use a torque wrench, select the locking torque according to the platform material, and slowly tighten the slide rail positioning screws.
Step 5. Use the same installation method to install the auxiliary rail, and install the sliders on the main rail and the auxiliary rail individually. Note that after the linear slide rail is installed on the carriage, many subsequent accessories cannot be installed due to the limited installation space. The required accessories must be installed together at this stage. (Accessories may be grease nozzles, oil pipe joints, or dustproof systems, etc.)
Step 6. Gently place the moving platform (table) on the slide seat of the main rail and the auxiliary rail.
Step 7. Tighten the lateral tightening screws on the mobile platform, and fix them in the following order after installation and positioning.
