1. Choose good lubricity
In order to keep a uniform oil film between the contact surface of the spindle and the linear bearing, and the oil film will not be damaged when the spindle starts or stops to generate impact load, maintaining good lubrication performance plays a role in reducing friction and friction heat, reducing the temperature rise of the spindle and ensuring machining accuracy, which requires good lubrication performance.
2. Choose good rust resistance
Because oil will inevitably be mixed with condensed water in the air or machine tool coolant during the operation of the spindle lubrication system, it is required that the oil has good rust resistance.
3. Choose proper viscosity and good viscosity temperature
In order to prevent the temperature of the spindle of the machine tool from being too high, which will cause thermal deformation of the machine tool, affect the machining accuracy or make the bearing lubrication poor, the lubricating oil with appropriate temperature should be selected according to the bearing structure, rotating speed and bearing clearance, and it is required to have good viscosity-temperature characteristics, so as to prevent the excessive viscosity change from affecting its lubrication performance when the working temperature and environmental temperature of the spindle change greatly.
4. Choose good oxidation resistance
When the machine tool spindle adopts the circulating lubrication method, it is required that the spindle bearing oil will be used for a long time without deterioration, so it is required to have good oxidation resistance.
