Ball screw support is a common transmission part in automation equipment, and the market demand has always been high. The ball screw support is small and easy to install, but the size of the hole in the support seat is actually difficult to handle. So how do we measure the size of the hole in the ball screw support?

At present, there are three commonly used measurement methods. Let's briefly understand these three methods and their advantages and disadvantages.
1. Internal Diameter Gauge and External Diameter Micrometer
First, use the external micrometer to locate a required size, then use the internal diameter gauge to measure small points, and then zero the surface. Then use the inner diameter gauge to measure the hole to be measured. The measurement results of this method are very accurate and easy to master, but the efficiency is relatively low and the measuring tool is relatively heavy.
2. Plug Gauge
The outer diameter of the slightly longer end of the plug gauge is located at the small entity size of the drawing, which is called "over-end", and the slightly shorter end is located at the large entity size of the drawing, which is called "over-end". When measuring, the "over-end" can pass smoothly, and the "over-end" cannot pass is considered as qualified. This measurement method is very easy to master and has high efficiency, but a plug gauge can only measure one size and cannot be adjusted. After a long time, the plug gauge will wear and cause errors.
3. Inside Micrometer
The hole size can be measured directly with an internal micrometer. This method is fast, but it is not easy to master. Two different people may measure two different results, resulting in measurement errors.
