Common Faults Of Ball Screw Pair

(1) Overload problem

When the lubrication condition of the ball screw pair feed drive is poor, the axial preload is too large, the screw and the guide rail are not parallel, the nut axis is not parallel to the guide rail, and the screw is bent and deformed, it will cause an overload alarm. Generally, the servo motor overload, overheating or overcurrent alarm will be displayed on the CRT, or on the feed drive unit of the electric cabinet, the indicator light or digital tube will prompt the drive unit overload and overcurrent information.

(2) Crawling problem

The crawling problem generally occurs when the acceleration section is started or the low-speed feed is started. It is mostly caused by factors such as poor lubrication of the feed transmission chain and excessive load. In particular, it should be noted that the coupling used to connect the servo motor and the ball screw, such as loose connection or defects of the coupling itself, such as cracks, will cause the rotation of the ball screw and the rotation of the servo motor to be out of synchronization, which will cause the The movement is fast and slow, causing crawling phenomenon.

(3) Movement problem

The movement problem is the poor lubrication state of the ball screw feed drive, the gland of the screw support bearing is not well pressed, the ball screw of the ball screw pair is damaged, the screw support bearing may be broken, and the axial preload is too large. Small, the transmission gap of the feed transmission chain is too large, causing the axial movement of the screw drive.
