Generally speaking, the equipment requires high accuracy of linear guide rail, so we need to be very careful when splicing and installing linear guide rail. A little carelessness will affect the accuracy of linear guide rail, especially ball guide rail, which requires high installation requirements. Today, we will share the matters needing attention and splicing methods of linear guide rail.
1. Before splicing and installation, it is necessary not only to remove burrs, dirt and surface scars on the installation surface of the equipment to ensure the levelness and straightness of the installation base surface, but also to clean up the oil stains on the guide rail and check the parts where they need to be spliced to ensure seamless splicing.
2. Then gently place the guide rail on the lathe bed, with one side close to the side mounting surface. Use the fastening screws to position the linear guide rail, which need not be completely tightened, and then connect the other linear guide rail to a fixed position to ensure that the connectors are completely aligned, and then tighten the screws at the end.
3. What we need to pay attention to here is that splicing will affect the accuracy of the guide rail, so we should try to choose a guide rail long enough to reduce the number of splicing, but the splicing guide rail should not be equal in length, otherwise the parallel direction interface will affect the accuracy of the same position. The most important point is that the splicing surface should not be chamfered, and there will be gaps in the chamfering, which will affect the passing of the ball. We also need to ensure that the mounting hole spacing on both sides of the middle two interfaces after splicing is equal to the standard hole spacing.
