Fault detection and diagnosis: Use tools such as a percentage meter or a micrometer to detect the axial runout and backlash of the ball screw, and observe parameters such as noise, vibration and positioning accuracy when the machine is running, in order to determine the type and extent of the fault.
Targeted maintenance: Check whether the support bearing is worn and whether the preload washer matches. If there is any problem, replace the bearings and readjust the preload washers; for the double-nut pair, adjust the thickness of the shims to eliminate the gap; for the single-nut pair, check the wear of the thread arc and replace the whole set of nuts or balls if necessary.
Lubrication and maintenance: Make sure the automatic lubrication system of the ball screw nut vice is unobstructed, and add high temperature and high speed resistant grease on a regular basis; and clean the impurities and dust on the ball track to keep it clean and smooth.
Servo motor drive adjustment: If vibration and creeping phenomenon occurs in the machine tool, check whether the servo motor drive parameters are properly adjusted; after that, adjust the gain parameters according to the actual operating conditions to eliminate vibration and creeping faults.
