Long Rails Bound For Spain

Oct 15, 2026

The long rails on the rack belong to an order going to Spain. The holes are already finished along the full length, so there is not much left to do on the rail itself before packing. These pieces will travel by sea together with the rest of the customer's machine parts.

A Linear Guide Rail this long is usually ordered after the machine bed has already been drawn. Length alone is not enough; the first hole, last hole and spacing in between all have to make sense on the frame. Changing those positions later means changing the machine as well, so we normally work from the customer's dimensions before the rail goes into production.

The rail in this family is matched with a square carriage block. On larger machine axes, two rails may run in parallel under the same moving table. Smaller assemblies may only need one pair. The basic Linear Guide Rail stays familiar, but rail size, block type and carriage quantity can change quite a bit from one drawing to the next.

Spain has an established machine tool and advanced manufacturing sector, with work ranging from metal cutting and forming to automation equipment and special production lines. That kind of market brings plenty of jobs where the frame already exists before the motion parts are ordered. A replacement axis, a longer travel section or a new handling unit may all need rails made around dimensions that are already fixed.

Long rails are separated before they go into the wooden case. We do not stack the running faces directly against each other, and the ends are kept from taking repeated knocks while the case is moved. The sea trip is long enough without giving the rails room to slide around inside the box.

Our HGH Linear Guide Rail range covers several rail and block sizes, and the rail length and mounting holes can be prepared to confirmed dimensions. If the machine bed is already drilled, we prefer to see the drawing first and make the rail around it rather than ask the customer to change the frame.
