Linear Motion Stage Shipment Headed To Russia: GY-EGHS120F Packed For The Long Haul

Jul 17, 2026

A batch of linear motion stages is on its way to a customer in Russia this week. The model going out is the GY-EGHS120F with 800mm stroke, packed individually in plastic film with product labels attached, then loaded into a reinforced wooden crate for the journey.

Russia is not a short trip by any measure, and the packaging reflects that. Each stage gets its own plastic wrap before anything else - this keeps the precision surfaces and rail profile away from direct contact with other parts during loading and transit. The product label on each piece carries the model number and stroke specification, so there is no guesswork when the customer unpacks and sorts through the order. The wooden crate goes on top of all that as the outer shell, and it is the right call for this kind of product over a long overland freight route where handling conditions are harder to control than a standard sea shipment.

The GY-EGHS120F is a profile rail linear stage - the kind of compact, self-contained unit that combines a precision ground rail, carriage block, and structural base into a single ready-to-mount assembly. The 800mm stroke puts it in a useful middle range: long enough for a wide range of pick-and-place, inspection, and light machining applications, compact enough to fit into equipment where space on the machine frame is limited. The EGHS120 series is a heavier-duty stage, with a wider rail span and higher load capacity than the smaller profile stages in the same lineup, which is why it tends to show up in applications where both rigidity and travel length matter.

Precision is the thing that packaging decisions are ultimately protecting here. A linear stage that arrives with a dinged rail surface or a carriage that runs rough from an impact in transit is not a minor inconvenience - it means the customer either has to return it or build their machine around a component that will never run at the accuracy it was made to. Individual wrapping plus a solid wooden outer crate is a straightforward way to make sure the stage that leaves the factory in spec is the same stage that arrives at the customer's door.

The EGHS series covers multiple sizes and stroke configurations. Customers with specific travel length, load, or mounting requirements are welcome to get in touch.
