The packing process took about two hours this morning. We use standard corrugated boxes with the spec label printed right on the front panel. Each PTFE coated fiberglass tape roller sits on wooden pallets first, then we wrap everything tight with stretch film. The shipping team added extra bubble wrap around each roll because these thin materials can get edge damage during truck transport. We learned that lesson the hard way after a few returns last year.
This particular order goes to a facility running conveyor ovens at around 260 degrees Celsius. They use the tape to mask off sections during powder coating operations. The plant manager mentioned their previous supplier's product started delaminating after three weeks of continuous exposure. Our material holds up because we use genuine PTFE coating with silicone adhesive backing, not the cheaper imitation stuff some factories try to pass off.
The thickness specification matters more than most buyers realize. At 0.13mm, this tape fits perfectly in automated dispensing equipment without jamming the feed rollers. Thicker versions around 0.18mm or 0.25mm work fine for manual application, but they'll cause tension issues in pneumatic tape dispensers. We keep telling customers to match the thickness to their equipment, not just pick the cheapest option.
Quality control checked each roller before boxing. We pull samples every 10 meters and run them through our temperature chamber set to 280 degrees for four hours. The adhesive should still peel clean without residue, and the backing shouldn't show any brittleness. Three rollers from this batch are sitting in the test chamber right now while I'm writing this report.
