As the ball screw is the active body, the nut will be converted into linear motion according to the lead of the corresponding specification with the rotation angle of the screw. The passive workpiece can be connected through the nut seat and the nut to realize the corresponding linear motion. In the ball screw drive mechanism, the ball is just inserted between the screw and the nut as an intermediate element, so that the sliding friction transmission between the screw and the nut becomes a rolling friction transmission.
Both the screw and the nut have spiral grooves with arc-shaped surfaces, and the two arc-shaped surface spiral grooves form a raceway when they are combined. There are many balls in the rolling, so there is rolling friction between the screw and the nut. A ball stopper is installed at both ends of the spiral groove of the nut 2, and there is a return pipe to make the ball roll out of the nut body from one end of the spiral groove, and then return to the other end of the raceway along the return pipe. In this way, when the ball screw rotates relative to the nut for linear motion feed transmission, the ball continuously rolls in the spiral raceway.
